 Again I am admitted and tested and denied any acknowledgement of heart failure because my symptoms are atypical. They check my legs for swelling, and ask me if I feel my heart racing. My legs are normal and I don’t feel my heart racing because it is always high. They also ignore my defibrillator. I leave with a false diagnosis and I’m disappointed again.

Buy here:  Be you they’ll adjust shirt   At no. 8 we have ‘chicken and mushroom vol-au-vents’. Its another party food- this time for grownups, quite popular in the 1970s and 1980s in Ireland, but seldom seen since. I’m guessing from the name that it was introduced from France at some stage, and for a time- roughly 40 years ago- no self respecting dinner party was complete without these things. It may be in the recent memory of people who emigrated from Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s- but its no longer cherished in Ireland as it once was.

Its not rocket science- most of us have helped our mothers with the cabbage in the kitchen while still in preschool. The US version tends to feature copious amounts of melted butter- the Irish version, not.
