President Biden has gained a lot of foreign policy knowledge over the years. Even so, there was not much anybody can or could do to alter the situation in Afghanistan or for that matter most of the middle Eastern countries…. the British could not do it. The French could not do it. The Ottoman Empire could not do it. The “countries” were created on paper largely by the British. No matter what the boundaries say, this is a “tribal” area and will probably always be. As to Biden, do you rely want to blame the relief pitcher who comes in at the bottom of the 9th inning with loosing the game? We should never have been there in the first place and no one other leader extricated the US over the past 20 years. As with Viet Nam, as large and powerful as the USA is, it can not make any difference if the PEOPLE are not willing (or even want) to change. Up is up and down is down. No matter what you do or say….. NOTHING will change that. Never has and never will. There is a very good reason to study history.
