Jaime would be sneaky - the little minx! - and sometimes come out to play in other ways, like making G—- have the tremendous urge to shop for girl clothes at Goodwill (looking fearfully around to see who was watching the freak buying girl clothes), or grab some horribly mismatched eye shadow and paint it on his face like Jackson Pollock on acid… and then almost immediately wipe it off because just what the fuck did he think he was doing?

Buy here:  Be you they’ll adjust shirt   At no. 8 we have ‘chicken and mushroom vol-au-vents’. Its another party food- this time for grownups, quite popular in the 1970s and 1980s in Ireland, but seldom seen since. I’m guessing from the name that it was introduced from France at some stage, and for a time- roughly 40 years ago- no self respecting dinner party was complete without these things. It may be in the recent memory of people who emigrated from Ireland in the 1970s and 1980s- but its no longer cherished in Ireland as it once was.

Its not rocket science- most of us have helped our mothers with the cabbage in the kitchen while still in preschool. The US version tends to feature copious amounts of melted butter- the Irish version, not.
